im having a problem with my tachometer. when i punch it the rpms go up but once vtec hits at about 5k or so the needle jumps to like 7k then it goes way past 9k. i happends in just about every gear. it would just start bouncing around. any help???

btw its a stock gsr gauge cluster. motor just has a cai

 

thats a tach problem not a speedometer problem like stated on the topic name.
