Default spedometer doesn't work after removing dash

just as the title says. everything else works in my cluster and on my dash but my spedo now, you know that needle that spins when u drive and plugs into the back of the cluster? well its hard to get in but i did several times and its still doesnt work. do i have to grease it or sumthing?

when you pulled on it you might have unplugged it from the tranny

It has to be clipped on all the way. It can't just be sitting in the socket. You didn't say what kind of car you have but I'm guessing it's a DA because I had a huge problem with mine. The only way I could get it back in was to remove the sensor from the trans and push the slack through the firewall, then plug it in, then put the cluster back together.

yup thats what i had to do to, but just yesterday my speedo just stopped working..i checked the trans and it was in there tight so i done know what the prob is with that...aahhhh another problem on the ol' DA

had to push it through from the tranny side. hope yo didnt spin the end off at the cluster iv seen it happen im not sure how but i have.

thats guys for the help im gunna try pushing the cable in thre the firewall all the way, any pics of were the cable goes to on the trans? and do i have to push it in the trans or into the dash more cuase i think i got it in the dash. again thanks guys
