Default specific v-tec question

i have a 90 honda civic hatch dx and it came with a b18a1lower end block out of a 1996 acura integra ls im assuming, and it has a gsr head (dohc v-tec) that was supposedly put on during the "motor rebuild" and i noticed the tranny on the lower half is missing the bottom bell housing part of it, like u can see the clutch area with the flywheel...., the tranny is a (YS1-1058103) if that makes any sense....what is the best tranny for this set up or can i just go grab a lower half bell housing from a salvage yard and install it? and the v-tec dosn't work unless u hook it up to a shift light with a resistor in between....what ecu should this set up have to run right? i have an air fuel ratio gauge hooked up and after the car warms up the meter says its running rich as hell! how do i adjust the fuel delivery and idol? it also has a fuel pressure reg on it by the fuel rail that is after market, and it has a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel filter...what fuel pressure should it be at with stock fuel rails, and injectors, all it has is a cold air intake and a full msd system and open exhaust off the headers..... any suggestions are VERY WELCOME!!! PLEASE HELP!

St Pete, hey thats closer then most I usually talk to on HT. Do you have any pics of the missing transmission portion?

As far as the VTEC engagement (to do it properly) you would need a chipped ecu VTEC or NON thats got VTEC enabled in its programing and you need to have it tuned to your setup, or you can go the Hondata/Neptune/AEM route with proper tuning but i'd only do that with boost or nitrous in a race setup. Talk to this guy, http://www.phearable.net.

He's a local in TB & can help you out with tuning + his site has alot of good materials on it reguarding wiring between different setups.

sorry i got all mad about the first reply guys, but i dont care where u come from, when u call someone a retard or stupid and then proceed to call ur car a piece of "ghetto ****" well....anyone will get pissed off....if u dont, well, u have AMAZING self control. but whatever. i dont care if i have to take it to a shop i guess....if anyone knows of any places in the pinellas or tampa bay area let me know. all i need is a place that works on gsr's all the time and can look at it and say "ya, all these lines and vacume hoses are hooked up to the right **** and that ecu u are using is the right one" or something, but as for tuning, ill cross that bridge when i come to it.

Well to be honest I don't know of any one place that specializes in Acura/Honda repair over the next in St.Pete/Tampa, except for the dealerships. If your not sure of whats what you could probably have Crown Acura check it out for what ever there willing charge or if your asking me whos pretty fair as far as garages, I would take it to Ice Cold Air. I've heard good things about them.

uhhh yeah I don't see anyone in this thread calling your car "ghetto" or anything like that. The first guy had a pretty civilized reply and was trying to be helpful, and here you come back sounding like an *******.

And then you bust on everyone for not wanting to pay anyone and wanting to do stuff yourself, but then you come back and ask for shops that work on GS-R's. What, you think you're just going to pull up in there and they're going to help you out for free?

I not sure who but either the OP (if he has permissions to do so), the respondent before my post or the moderator deleted that post. Why I haven't a clue.

i never said i wanted "free help" now ur putting words in my mouth, maby that is what u got from what i said about a shop, but i just want to PAY a place to look at my car and say this is what u need, now go get it done. there is like 3 vacume lines that arnt hooked up coming off the throttle body. id pay like 100$ or 200$ at the most for an in depth look at my car and a diagnosis. im not cheap, i just like to do as much to my car myself as possible man.
