SOS Engine
the service require light started flashing on my 96 tegra. i dont understand y cuz i just got an oil change. Aso can someone tell whats wrong with my engine cuz my car struggles to move under 3000rpm on 2nd gear and so on. Anything would help thanx kg
When that light turns on it just means you need a tune up..spark plugs, wires...etc...the oil change has nothing to do with it..the light is programmed to turn on after a certain amount of miles...and has no idea when you did do your last tune up..
As said above, the Maintainance Required light comes up automatically after a predetermined amount of miles (3750 I think). It will come on whether or not you did anything to your car.
You can reset it with the button under the driver's side dash. There are instructions in your manual as well.
As for your car's struggling issue, are you generating a CEL light? Also as said before, have you been keeping up with regular maintainance? What exactly happens when you say it struggles? Is it hitting a rev limit? Is it bogging? Is it something new that recently happens? Not to be sarcastic, but you have a Honda, under 3,000 rpm, there's isn't going to be much torque. Have you modified your car in any way recently?
