4th to last pic - see the point on that triangle piece, should have a piece on that too. shift fork. and casing has a little scarring.

looking to salvage whatever possible and put in b17 gsr (or same ratio) 1-4 with an LS 5th gear. and some sort of diff. haven't decided (money will do that after i find the rest of the parts)

Did you discover all of this before you installed the tranny?

yup, i was under the impression the shift fork was PROBABLY broken and 3rd gear synchro was GOING. SO, I took it to my mechanic and asked him to to check it all out and gimme a price on just a fix to drop it in and a gsr 1-4, LS 5th, and Quaiffe. He called me today and told me i needed to come look at it. i was a little pissed. but hopefully i can work it out with the seller

good lord, i just helped my friend rebuild his ls tranny and it didnt look near as bad, and he drives his car a bit hard too. your mainshaft teeth are fucked and it prolly took the ring gear with it, synchros look worn, shift selector is fucked hard, it shouldnt come to a point, maybe the shift change piece that hooks to the shift linakge is bad too, and god knows how your reverse idler gear looks. i hope the magnet in there did its job lol because im sure there was plenty of metal paste on it. anywho good luck gettin it resolved because that tranny is pretty fucked.

wow that tranny is seriously trashed

i wouldn't even bother trying to use any of the parts

probably all of them are damaged in some way, due to all the metal that was floating around
