Replaced a head gasket and started the car up; it sounds great not missing at all idles smoothly but there is white smoke coming from the exhaust manifold.

The manifold was off and on the ground for 3 weeks so it maybe leaves (found some) and then all the oil and excess fluids but could it be anything else?

again the car idles fine and when the gasket was blown it sounded like it was missing

 

Did the gasket blow from overheating? If so did you get the head milled? If your really unlucky you could be burning coolant.

 

yeah the head gasket blew and i got it milled

i drove it around the block and it seems to have low power; and some smoke comes out the exhaust but it idles smooth still

 

the catalytic converter may be plugged w/ coolant. check that out.
