Icon2 Slow starting...

Hey guys...I tried searching for an answer, couldn't really find an answer.

Happens all the time, but the motor cranks over really slow (like if the battery is gettin ready to crap out). I've even tried a different fully charged battery & same thing. Battery is located in the trunk (H2B swap), connections look ok, I have to check a few more when I have time. But not sure if it's just a connection or starter gettin ready to crap out. Car either starts right up, or after a few tries of cranking it over (really slow like a dead battery), it'll start up no problem...any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

What gauge wire are you using for the relocate? I suggest using 0 gauge or higher. If your using anything smaller you are not getting all the power you need. Therefor giving you a slow start. Or it could be the cold weather giving you a slow start. Check your batterys cold cranking amps (cca). Your going to want 450 or higher.

Need more info...

Gauge of cable?
How long is the cable?
Where is the cable connected, [engine bay end]?
What type of fuse are you using, [batt. end of cable]?
How and where is the batt. grounded?
How is engine grounded to chassis?
What kind of terminals are on the cables, [power and ground] and how are they connected? 94

really random and unlikely but happened to me. Check your mounting bolts for the starter, the skinny long one. My hatch only had 1 of those bolts and caused the starter to move around when I cranked the engine. causing it to sometimes start right up. sometimes crank really slow to the point where i have to re-crank again. sounds just like my problem....
