Default Slight Overheating Problem.

When on idle the temp gauge passes the halfway mark and then turns on. Once the car was completely cold ( 24hrs) I removed the rad cap and turned it on. The coolant kept slighty spraying out. When the car is in motion, the temp needle never reaches the halfway point. Also when it starts overheating and start moving, the needles goes back down. any ideas? Water pump is new ( OEM)

Well if there is no air in your radiator, and water pump is new and its overheating not moving. But when you do move it goes down. Sounds to me like a new thermostat is needed there, or it could be a faulty water pump.
