..did you scrape off the old IM gasket? and the TB gasket?? happened to my car too, sprayed some TB cleaner when we started the car..is sucked it in through the IM gasket..soo we had to take off the manifold scrape it off with a razor blade then put on a new gasket...
most likely its a vacuum leak.

I agree, sounds like it is some sort of vacuum leak. just make sure all the opening are sealed well. Also, making sure the old gaskets are cut off is a good idea because that could deffinetely cause seal issues.

On a side note are you running the GSR intake manifold, or the type R one?

defininatly a vacuum leak, i had the same problem with idle reving to 3500 then to 1000 and so on. i replaced tb and im gaskets and has to really tighten th manifold bolts down tight. try tightning the manifold bolts in the right order and you will hear the idle start to drop

It does not stay steady at 1500...it blips from 1400-1500. I tightend my manifold as hard down as possable. ANyone show me some vaccum charts?

reset your dam ecus people it will run!!! how to do this...start your car run it till operating temps....then shut it off pull the 7.5 amp fuse and the 15amp fuse from the underhood fuse box and let it sit for 10 minutes! then plug them back it and start the car...dont touch the gas or anyhing just let it idle....let it do this for 10 min....then turn it off and start it back up....it should run fine if not then check all you vacuum lines etc, and be careful tightening those im bolts, if you make them to tight you'll break the stud and then your in a boat load of troule like i was...due to mostly the fact of me using an heat-killer gasket style similar to the hondata....neways hope that helps

yea i defintaly have a weird idle on my car. I had mine installed by the local shop, i trust their work too. I turn my car on from cold, it jumps up to 2000 RPM, then slowly falls, it used to never do that before the install. And most of the time, my warm engine idle is at 1000-1100. Sometimes it will jump up to 1400 and stay there, even when my engine is warm. But my car still runs really good, so i havent tried to change anything yet.

the idle change you see when warm needs to be adjusted...when u change your mani most of the time you pull the cbal eoff the bracket and whatnot and it gets outa wack a little, check a helms and adjust you idle setings according so...the little idle at 1400 is when you car probably isnt at runnign temps so it warms the engine by revving a little higher....hope that helsp ya a tad. peace...and swags you should only have 1 connector not plug in...the one that used to go to the evap sensor connected to the box that used to sit under your stock im...all others should be connected
