what's the difference between the gas shocks and the hp shocks from tokico? and also i have these tenzo r lowering springs to go with them

I am not sure but I believe that the hp would stand for high pressure and the gas shocks would be low pressure. Twin tube shocks are low pressure and mono tube shocks are high pressure. Twin tube setups tend to have a smother ride compared to mono tube setups. If you are looking at it from a performance stand point mono tubes might be the way to go as they are more responsive to changes. Mono tubes give the spring something similar to a preload. If you can get a hold of a copy of the may issue of sport compact car, there is an article fully devoted to dampers.
