Default shifting problems

during hard turns...sometimes i am unable to get it into gear or if i do, it grinds...my friend told me that it might be my motor mounts...has anyone else experienced this??? does anyone know why this is happening and know the solution???

thanks

Default Re: shifting problems (natrl)

motor mounts would be my first guess, the motor giving way in hard turns and putting pressure on the axles and final drive, a cheap shot at solving the solution would be to install urethane motor mount inserts which can be had for around 50 bucks and get rid of virtually all give...the only disadvantage I know of that is it puts the motor vibration into the car, instead of into the rubber mount.
