shift problems

my 90 teg automatic will not shift into third unless you let it sit and warm up for 20 min. or drive it for about 10 miles. wondering if it could be the shift solenoid or the vacume modulator?

it doesnt pay to just change those parts
best bet is a new tranny for $300

Noting the comparably low amount of demand surrounding the B series automatic transmissions, you can probably find one for dirt cheap. I'd just replace the whole thing as opposed to replacing parts.
