Default Shift boot in bad shape

The subject is a little misleading. The boot isn't in bad shape itself, but the base of the boot in front of the shifter is unattached to the console, which means I can look down and see the floorboard, which looks nasty. What is the best (and quickest) way to reattach it? Also, the top of the boot has slid down and away from the shifter **** and my shifter looks like a giraffe neck. Any ideas?

if you wanna go extreme quick fix, get some high strength glue, put it on the edge of the shift boot, and slap it back onto the inner edge of the plastic around ur shifter. might wanna use a small thin hook to push it upwards from top

Otherwise, to do it the RIGHT way- step 1) unscrew the 2 screws on the left and right end (backseat area) of the center console.(armrest)
2)use a flathead screwdriver and pull up that little black square underneath ur e-brake, unbolt the 2? bolts there, i believe 10mm (could be wrong). you can now take out the armrest
3) unscrew 2 screws under the dash (while in driver seat by your right ankle; passenger side-left ankle)
4a) (here's where i kinda forget which screws to do next sorry) but i believe next pull out ur ashtray unscrew the 2 screws you see in the back (flashlight and magnetic screw driver helps here)
4b)If you can't pull out the rest of the center console by now, i believe there are 2 more screws near ashtray/cig lighter. NOTE- watch where those stupid little metal tabs fly off to, or else your ash/cig lighter will sag! i know for a fact... sigh...
5)refer beginning of this post for fixing shift boot instructions-or if possible reclip/rehook the original shiftboot back into their respective places.
6)reassemble center console in reverse order
total disassemble time should be less than 10 mins even for a noob

Please correct me if I'm wrong about those screws

I have the visual, cause mine is the same way. Ordering an ITR boot and throwing in an S2 shifter and **** so that should cure that problem.

The directions above are good for fixing this problem.
