Default shaved side molding

I've been thinking about trying to shave off the side molding on my 2000 integra. I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove it, or if it has to be professionally done at a custom shop. the sides look really clean w/o the molding on the door, any help would be much appreciated.

you can just pop them out.. get a flat head screw driver, wrap it around a rag and carefully pry them. make sure you dont break the clips..and yea i think some welding is needed. bondo will crack. dont do it yourself, have a pro do it. or you can just paint them, dupli color makes good paint that matches our cars real good.

good luck

Basically they take off the molding, and weld a piece of metal over each hole thats left behind. Then sanded down , and repainted. Since most of the car needs to be repainted if this is done, its best to get the moldings shaved while doing a full paint job, to ensure the color matches perfect.
