Serious Axle Snapping problem HELP
ok so the setup is a 96 integra B20 VTEC stock, street slicks on enkei wheels, stage 5 clutchmaster clutch with resurfaced flywheel. we have been to the track 3 weeks in a row, the first week his hondata s300 wasnt hooked up and he ran 15 flat on an LS ecu. then he hooked up his s300 with launch control at 4500 and the past two weeks with the s300 he has broken each axle. anyone have any suggestions on why it keeps snapping axles he doesnt want to upgrade axles because he doesnt want his tranny to s*** da bed any help will be apppreciated

First of all your friends lucky his car still drives. Never run an OEM ecu on such a modified set-up thats a no no. And if your snapping axles alot then there is something wrong between your engine and the wheels. Could be alot of things.

Make sure his mounts are all good. If you're gonna bang gears with shot mounts, if the engine rocks too much that could snap an axle. If the halfshaft has any play to it, that could also snap an axle.

That sounds like too much clutch for that set-up. If the mounts are good I would consider swapping it for something lighter.
Is he preloading the front-end at all before launching? That might be had to do w/ a stage 5 clutch but it helps stop axle breakage.
