Seized block????
hi guys and gals.
my friend has a 94LS with 120k. he was driving down the street on Saturday and turned into his street and his car dies. and now when he tries to start it. It sounds like the starter is engaging and trying to turn the engine overbut its sounds like its being stopped by something. and when he push starts it. With the clutch in, the car rolls fine. When he lets go of the clutch the wheels lock up and the car skids.
He had the head replaced couple weeks ago at a local car shop. I checked the motor, there's about 2 quarts of oil left in there. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I've narrowed it down to block being siezed. could also be the tranny. but then i figured if the tranny was fucked up the motor should still start with the clutch in and stall when the clutch is out. but even with the clutch in the engine wont turn at all. I jus want other opinions
has anyone had this happen to them? can someone shine some light on this? thanx
