Secondary O2 sensor
Hey everyone, I have a quick question about the secondary O2 sensor. ECU and everything on my Integra is stock. I noticed the other day my secondary O2 sensor had a little fraying on one of the wires that was due to a clearance issue with the cat heat shield. I removed it and have been running fine since but just noticed it rubbed the insulation off one of the wires. If it's bad enough, can bad SECONDARY O2 sensor/wiring cause power loss or running rich/lean? I know obviously primary O2 problems need to be addressed but is secondary sensor only for reporting emissions?

Copied from TunerN00b,
The primary is looking at how the engine is running, so that the computer can adjust fuel as needed for correct operation.
The secondary is just to verify that the cat is still working correctly, but nothing more.
