My friend mentioned that he thought a S2000 antenna would fit on my 99 GSR. Anyone have any specifics on this?? Is it pretty much plug and play?? Pics maybe? Search didnt turn up much...just one for sale with broken pics. thanks

 

I dont have pics of mine, but I installed one on my 94 LS, and I like it. It looks a hell of a lot better than that cheesy stock one.

's a great looking and cheap mod.

a while ago there was a guy selling mini kits to install this cleanly (not hard to make up your own kit), and then you would just need to get the antenna itself from honda.

 

Can you just get them at the dealership?

Well you can buy the stock S2k antenna mast which is 150 or u can get a knock off one off of ebay for 30 and it works just fine.

 

I had a fuba style antenna before, doesnt look to shabby.

 

Yea the S2000 Kit antenna are all sold out on LoCustom's but they have the Shark Attack II which looks very similar to the S2000. I was wondering the SA2 gets good reception b/c I've been reading complaints that the S2000 doesn't get good reception and since the SA2 is very similar to the S2000 is it also the same problem?

 

before i took off the s2000 locustom antenna off my LS it got just as good reception as stock except you don't get AM which didn't matter to me... and yes it looks alot better

 

I ended up buying the shark attack 2 and I cant be more happier with how it looks. And the reception is great as well. :thumbsup:

Looks great! IMO it gets better reception than the stock one.

Definitely should get it. I mainly got it so I wouldn't hear the antenna go up everytime I switched to the radio

 

Oh...installation literally took me 5 minutes. Very easy installation.

It took me 5 minutes because my car is completely stripped rigth now to install sound deadening fat-mat

The s2000 will fit fine from what I've read, and it'll look 100x better.

 

Is there another place that sells the S2000 antenna kits b/c at Locustoms they guy emailed me saying that he ran and they can't make anymore b/c the price of producing them cost a lot now.

 

the member rstor used to sell them here, try him. i got mine from him. i don't know what people are talking about but just the black mast from the s2k is 20-30 bucks max, and i think 30 bucks for the rest of the kit from rstor
