Rum lights stay on

Rum lights stay on
I just picked up a 98 LS and I'm fixing some bugs with it. One of the problem it has is the run lights coming on once I switch the accessory switch to on. I unplugged the switch on the steering column which operate the lights, but they still stay on. Head lights, high beam and signal works properly also. What am I not checking?
