I have a 96 gsr and some times when i lose traction or start to spin the wheels my rpms wont go up like the other day i launched at 2500 or so and went all the way through first but when i shifted to 2nd gear and chirped the tires it went to like 7000 and just kinda hung out there even though i had the gas peddle all the way down. Anyone know what this might be?

Maybe your clutch is slipping...? Put it in 4th gear doing about 50 mph or so and just punch it while still in 4th gear and if the rpm's jump erratically and non-linear to speed, your clutch is slipping... HTH...

I thought that too but someone told me it had nothing to do with my clutch and the rpms dont jump durning this its like nothing is happening.
