rough idle on 90 automatic?
The car may need a valve adjustment but I don't think that would cause a low rough idle, any ideas would be great! BTW, not throwing a code. The idle is just below 750, say around 700 and it moves up and down a bit and creates lotsa vibrations, it does it in park, drive, neutral and reverse. I did a search on idle and came up with a bunch of different things, i think the iacv makes the car idle like 1000 to 1500 to 1000 to 1500 etc and that is not whats happening, any other help would be good.

How may miles are on it? With high mileage cars I have seen worn out mounts allowing the engine to sag all the way down, which shakes the crap out of the car at idle. How does it run otherwise, is the vibration only at idle? while it is running put a floor jack under the engine and try to lift it up only a little, be careful don't hurt the pan, use a block of wood. If the vibration goes away once jacked up an inch or two, there ya go that is most likely it. Good luck and let me know.
233kms on the car, it runs perfect other than this rough idle problem.....passed a safety with flying colors! Is there a way to measure the sag of motor mounts without jacking up the engine?
