Default Rip Off's...

So I'm online looking for parts and kits for my 2000 GSR, and I see some pretty sweet prices on some web sites, but on others I see the same item for WAY more. All these drastic differences in prices in different places on the internet makes me afraid of getting stuff that's garbage knock offs and not the real thing.

Anyone have any advice for where to purchase quality but not bank-breaking expensive parts off the web?

Thats the first problem right there, you get what you pay for. You have to pay to play. What exactly are you trying to order?

Well I was going to start with new performance parts, but that makes me really nervous when I'm ordering from somewhere I can't walk into and talk to someone because one of their parts broke that they sold me. So, I figured that since I've always wanted to get into show cars, I'd go with body modifications. That way I don't spend a ****-load of money on something that breaks in 10 minutes.

For example, Blitz body kit, Seibon Carbon Fiber hood, halo lights, I'll get rims and tires from Les Schwab, custom side mirrors, steering wheel, seats, etc etc. I could go on, but that's generally what I'm looking to get.

I might get an 8 - 10 lb turbo just for fun. Maybe a nitrous kit. Not too sure about the nitrous since the motor is mostly stock. I don't want to blow it up lol.

If you're looking to build a "show" car, you should probably relocate yourself to the A/C forum. No one in here really cares.

Yeah honestly this thread is going down hill asap. Everyone here isnt into the whole "show car" thing. Most people here like the "JDM style" side of appearance. How about you just try ordering your parts online its wil be ok but just make sure the website has been around for a while. Try google and look at the first couple of sites.
