Reverse lights / Shiftlock
Hey guys,
I have a four door generation 2 integra (91) gs-r auto trans.
The back-up lights don't come on. I checked the bulbs, and the fuse, they are fine. What else could it be? Does this thing have a back up light switch on the trans? Or is it that for manuals only? Or do the auto's have a transaxle gear position switch?
Also, the really annoying thing, now it will not shift out of park into R, N, D, etc, unless I stick the key into the shiftlock release whole on the shifter. It started happening 1st when I had my wife shifting it into reverse and park a bunch of times (checking voltage to fix the reverse lights). She me have shifted it without putting her foot on the brake pedal. Dunno if that matters.
Any ideas? Yeah, yeah, I know "get a manual"
Thanks in advance!

no its the fact that
in the US the gsr never had a automatic transmission
the second generation integra gsr
started in 92 and ended in 93, no 91
and they didnt have four door versions of the 2nd gen gsr.
and thats about it
as for the problem i honestly dont know.
the locking would make me assume that the lock that holds the shifter in park, is not moving to allow it to move down, hence why you have to manually move it, so i'd take apart the center console and look at that
and as for the lights, i think im not 100% sure on this, but i think
that theres some kind of solenoid on the trans that signals them to light up when the auto shifter is put in reverse
