Default reverse indiglos

i have reverse indiglos and was driving and all of a sudden they just died. I was thinking that it could have been a fuse but the lights behind it work, does anyone know what the problem could be

How long did you have these? Those after market indiglo's are VERY cheaply made & it won't last very long, few months if you're lucky. Mine died in about two months...still sitting there as a white gauge A lot of the shops pulled them off for the same reason.

I disagree. The ones that don't last are the el-cheapo ones off ebay that run from $5-$20.... do you 'concur'?

sonicblueteg2k: it has nothing to do with the fuse,..as mentioned, its usually the ground connection. why dont you check out all the connections? negative/positive and from the main relay to the gauges. check if anything is fried.

good luck!
cheers

Do not believe the hype that indiglo gauges only last a couple of months. The problem is that alot of people hook up the light source to their dimmer switch, and the instruction clearly state not to do that. They also say that if you do hook them up to the dimmer switch, it will eventually short the gauges out. I hooked mine up properly in my previous teg about a year and a half ago, and they still work problem free today.

I disagree on this one... I have hand-me down used Indiglo gauges from my cousin and I hooked it to my dimmer switch. Its been on for more than 6 months... *knocks on wood*

I cannot stress this further:

i got mine about 3 years ago and they still work. don't kno what brand they are anymore but it came with an aftermarket dimmer switch that i juss let hang into the coin holder thing. one thing that went wrong was that one of the wires to the dimmer go disconnected so it used to go on and off whenever it felt like it.. i juss soldered the wires and now they work good.

I concur. Usually there are more than 1 relay for indiglo, if all three face died then it's power, check postive or ground. If at least one face is up then it's one of the relay
