Suspension question [HELPS]

Re: Suspension question [HELPS] (wspcivic)
Why dont you tell us more about your suspension setup. Springrates and how much its lowered? Come on give us some info. Im goign to say your spring rates are too low and/or you need new bumpstops. (if your hitting your bumpstops frequently you need higher rate springs) or raise the ride. Should be in the Suspension forum anyways...

Ok that doesnt make sense. If your shocks are blown you should feel like the ride is very bouncy. also if you can turn the shocks from one extreem to the other and feel a minimal difference i would say the problem lies there.

With that drop you should not have a problem. I had my Sol dropped 2.75 and didn't have an issue with hitting the top of the body. I also have 450# Front and 350# rear. The camber kit could be the problem if its larger than stock as B18C5 suggested.

if your car is that low then let me suggest not bottoming out? I mean...if you see a speed bump dont go there...if you see a pot hole...drive around it.
How do you keep bottoming out?

My Skunk2 upper arms were hitting my strut tower areas and denting them too when I used to ride low enough to almost tuck 195/50/15 tires, but my konis were on their way out too.
I raised my car up some, got new Konis, and I've not had them hit one time since.
Before height, when it would hit:
After raising the car and going to 205/50/15 tires to fill in a bit of fender well gap:
I can't tell you you for 100% if it was the new Konis or just the ride height change, but I can tell you that if you're riding low enough to almost tuck 195 series tires then you're probably going to keep having the a-arms crashing into your strut tower areas.

BTW that's exactly why I added the wink icon when I asked about the camber kit - I figured it was Skunk2.
