I messed up the abs when I was doing the wire tuck. Plus I did not really care for it since my motor is being rebuilt I'm gonna just remove the whole system. And to clean the engine bay up more!

What about all the wires for the abs I would also like to remove all of those. Is there a write up on how to? And where is the abs computer located at?

i can understand abs deletion on a drag car or if you live in a place where it snows 10 months out of the year. for everyone else it makes no sense what so ever. i can't even begin to say how idiotic "abs kicks in too early sounds". the abs computer uses wheel speed sensors to detect skid in the tires. if you feel the pedal pulse a tire would be skidding. abs is hands down faster in autocross and the road course. it's also safer on the street. if you want better braking use better pads and stickier tires. if that still isn't enough use aftermarket brakes and R compound tires. all of which work with ABS !

ok I've got the abs computer removed along with the whole harness for it all the way up to the orange plug by the firewall that connects to the main harness. The orange plug that is on the main harness could I just snip that plug off that connected to the abs computer harness? Since it would just be sitting there not connected and of course tape off the the wires.

I couldn't agree more. especially since it's a 99. When abs first came out in the 80's and some cars from the early 90's yeah it didn't really work quite right yet. But they bugs got worked out quick, i drive a 96 gsr auto-x and track very close to the limits and i've never had a problem with the abs kicking in to early, it's actually very hard for me to tell when it is "on" and when it isn't under braking. 100%Show car, to clean up the engine bay sure take out the abs. 100% Drag car, yeah take it out. Outside of that, i'm going to have to say leave it in. If it's not broke don't fix it.

Well I explained early that I did a wire tuck and ever since then my abs has not worked! If it did work I would not be doing this, and also my motor is out being rebuilt so I decided it would be a perfect time to take it out.

Yo you don't need to do anything insane, i have a ninety teg gs, all came with abs, except for the rally sport (rs) it has a proportional valve, get that, ebay, or junkyard

anyways, you know that already but, you don't need to change your booster or your master cylinder, or brake lines, your old lines can be bent to fit into the valve just be wise about where you put it, all sensors can be removed, you can remove your computer, all wires, everything, and it should reduce about fifty pounds, the orange plug can be cut and stripped, if i were you i would wait, and remove everything you want to and then go ahead and customize your harness its not difficult, just download a pdf for the diagram and color codes and remove all unnecesarry wires, re coat, you can get it at auto zone and tuck, way cleaner look, and setup

just trying to lend a helping hand
