Remove driver airbag keep passenger airbag functional?

Remove driver airbag keep passenger airbag functional?
I'm getting a Sparco wheel next week so i won’t have a driver's side airbag any more. I would like to keep my passenger's side airbag and still have it work properly.
i was told that if i wire a 2 ohm resistor across the driver's side airbag leads, that the passenger side will still function. Is this true?
also i'm having a hard time finding a 2 ohm resistor, what types of store sell these; i couldn't find any at radio shack...
there is this thing called a short connector or sumthin, it's a red thing that is located on the bottom side of the steering wheel inside the panel. the helms says to plug that into the srs connector when you remove the airbag. would this have any thing to do with what i want to do?
can some one help me out and give me some suggestions?

holy ****?!
did i ask that Q? NO!
not having a airbag does not risk your life, what if i said i was gona get a da integra? would u say that i was risking my life so that i can have a da teg(they don't have airbags)?
come on, sum 1 has always gota say that, i don't give a ****, it's my car and i will do what i want with it. i hate the damn big *** stock piece of **** steering wheel!!!
atleast i'm trying to keep the passenger side airbag working, so my passenger has an airbag...
and i don't want a shiny steering wheel, i just got a nice small 330mm Sparco 383 suede steering wheel, better grip, lighter, and smaller then stock!
anyways, i'm gona try to get that 2 ohm resistor and try it out...
