relocating the battery
Chart for guage by length. You can ground close and use short ground, and figure length with appropriate route. There are other site on the net.

I have used 4 guage wire for a battery under/behind the front seat of my Integra and have not had a problem in 3 years. Your run could be considerably longer, and may need larger wire, as suggested above.
I grounded to the rear bracket at the front seat, less than 1 foot, and then the run through the firewall for the positive. All 4 guage.
