I say go for it, I've heard good things about it. I'm going to put it in as soon as I get the chance (first break from school). Even if it turns out that it's not the best, it's not like it will ruin your tranny.

That's exactly what it does actually. Stick with Honda MTF.

this is one of those never ending discussions
some say Redline and others say OEM Honda.
Im a big proponent of OEM Honda parts and access.
but i currently use the redline MTL in my GSR.
no probs whatsoever. i even noticed it got rid of my 5th gear grind too.
but shifting does get a little stiffer in the cold.

I did a little damage to my 2nd gear syncros in my Civic causing me to grind badly when I'd downshift to 2nd from over 30mph, and since swtiching to Redline, it has indeed gone away. IMO and from experience, Redline all the way

I've used Reline in my old 96 lS and use now in my GSR with excellent results!

i heard that there is redline mtl..but it has a shock proof feature or something like that..

i used redline mtl in my last car and it was great...no problems. the things i heard bad was..the mtl causes the syncros to go bad..but i dont have that first hand.

During my Quest to disprove the "Redline MTL is bad for your honda tranny" bullshit, I did a swap to Honda MTL and a few thousand miles later (about 10K) switched to Redline MTL.

Honda MTL: felt the same as the ~20,000 mile honda mtl that was already in there. Shifting was a pretty damned notchy... I really didn't like the tranny too much. I thought I did cause I don't like super smooth trannies (not used to them ) but it would grind a bit, have problems getting into first, reverse, etc, etc, etc.

Redline MTL: A lot of the notchy feel went away.. at first I didn't care for it much, it felt more "smooth" a little too smooth IMO but I've gotten used to it. I've still felt stock hondas that were less notchy than mine with honda fluid but without the poly bushings that my car has. With the Redline MTL I've noticed a lot less grinding and less troubles going into first and reverse. Also, I noticed an immediate difference from the new redline compared to the ~10K old honda fluid.

IMO, Redline MTL is the way to go. At least for my GS-R. I will be trying some Amsoil in a friends GS-R whenever he gets around to changing the fluid. His tranny feels like *** cause it's f'd up (has been f'd up since new, acura "rebuilt" it already, still feels like *** and gets stuck in reverse. fuggin POS hondas) so I can report my opinions on that fluid whenever that happens.

hope this helps
