Default Good MTF?

What are some good manual transmission fluids for a gsr transmission. Should i go with the oem honda mtf.

I've heard good things about valvoline vr1 50 motor oil. anyone using that, would that be a good choice?

does your tranny grind? if not, stick with Honda MTF. If it does, use a mixture of Honda MTF and GM Syncromesh modified

I was recommended to use the valvoline vr1.. my tranny is pretty solid, no grinds except for a slight 3rd gear grind at high rpms sometimes. anyone have any experience with valvoline vr1 50 weight??

Right now its either between that or oem honda mtf

I had a slight grind in 3rd also. Switched to syncromesh and shifting feels smoother and no more grinds at high rpm.

What exactly are you trying to achieve????

Stick with Honda MTF. Just like you should stick honda recommended oil and spark plug. Why change the MTF??
