Both high beams come on dimly when fan comes on, which runs slow
Speedometer doesn't work
One of my high beam lights doesn't work when the light switch is on

I'll basically need to get the meter out this weekend and test wires... I got to drive the car the other day in the neighborhood, felt good to do
Check your grounds. A high resistance ground can cause some weird problems.
Otherwise this is one helluva back to life project. Nice work!

Thanks man. I'm definitely going to do that, I had to make a few of my own grounding points and I'm wondering if I put too many items on a wire with a small gauge... That would be great if that was it.

I do have my high beams and fan on the same ground...

I checked my grounds and found they weren't very good... This solved my fan/headlight problem. Now I need to check the speedo wires... I think the automatic wiring harness is the cause of this.

It also looks like my second new radiator might have a pinhole in it... can't seem to win.

I read that the speed sensor wiring on the manual and automatic harnesses are different. Now that its not working I just need to trace the wires and if they aren't going to their proper pins then rewire them...

I bought a Mishimoto this time, i need to check sometime this week to make sure its def a pinhole. If so then I'll give the lifetime warranty a try. It could always be a leak in the hose or something I missed...

What tools did you get??

Sweet deal. I've been wanting one of them, the pneumatic impact is kind of a pain so I only get it out if I'm breaking a few bolts loose

Does this look like an excessive amount of moisture to anyone? Its idling at about 2k and it was cooler outside which might be a contributor but it just didn't look right to me...

Sorry they are sideways but you get the idea

I did let it warm until the fan went on (twice) the other day and it still seemed to have a decent amount of moisture in it. Maybe im just paranoid about it.

One of my roomates autocrosses a 91 civic

Good to see you're making such good progress. I have an OEM radiator with both OEM fans still attached, if u decide to just go back stock. I just pulled it out to put in a half size and a slim fan for my turbo setup. PM me an offer and I'll ship it to ya.

The moisture was not an issue today, must have been the weather or something.

I actually have 2 roomates, I've turned into a landlord, helps to ease the financial situation haha.

He just rebuilt the stock motor so he could stay in the stock class. Nothing special, just runs well.

Thanks I think I'm going to stick with the half fan though since I've already moved the mounts.

Yea this weather's nice, also nice that the car moves under it's own power too. I'm working on doing some title work right now so I can get this thing inspected as soon as I get the bumper on permanently.

I also found my speed sensor was unplugged, I tested the leads with a meter to verify the voltages are correct but haven't driven it yet to verify the gauge actually does what it's supposed to.

I need to get the title transferred from a PA salvage to an Ohio salvage. Then I need to get the car inspected and have the title changed to a rebuilt title. Doesn't sound too bad but I'm sure the state will find a way to make it a pain.

Keep it up Berb!

Love how your cleaning and keeping things oem+ as you go along.

What happened to the fresh valve cover? Will that go back on later after it's all titled properly and inspected?

Hey man nice to see a familiar face post The valve cover is going to have bungs welded on for a breather setup I got so I removed it for now. I haven't gotten around to it with all the other stuff going on but I'm hoping to repaint it again, still not sure what color... suggestions?

I'm pumped for H2O!

Yea I should have just gotten a clean chassis with a clean title. Either way it's been fun to build again but I've been itching to drive it, or anything fun.
