Rear wiper removal.
Car's been sitting in my driveway blown up for two weeks and I get bored and keep doing stuff to the body, I just did this and figured i'd post my expierence.
Tools needed -
10 mm rachet
12 mm rachet
Flathead screwdriver
Philips screwdriver
First, the car...
Then the removal kit I got off ebay for 14 bucks shipped...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT
First I took off the black plastic covering the motor with philips. pulled that off, up towards the roof, it's just on with clips after the screws are out. Then remove the three 10 mm bolts holding the motor on...
Then pop the cap off the outside of the motor with a flat head, there's a 15 or 17 mm nut on there, but it comes off with your fingers. Then there's a 12 mm nut. remove the and the wiper should fall off. then there will be a rubber piece in between the window, I used a flat head to push it through. Screw on the cap you bought and enjoy the clean look.

This is what we need more of on this board!
The, "Hey, it looks good. In my opinion though, I like the wiper. But good job."
Not the usually, "THAT'S EFFING GAY, I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT!"
Thanks.

**** yeah, I just did that on my DC2 and my friend just did it on his DA. Looks sooooo much cleaner. We both purchased the same plug from ebay too
Rear wipers are pointless IMO. The cars I've owned that came with them, I don't think I ever used it even once.

The wiper is 13 years old... It's not in good condition, just got to autozone, they're like 5 bucks.

I think he means the arm(part that goes from te wiper to the spindle), more than the wiper.
I took my wiper off my dc as well...with the defrost, it's really not needed...unless you're in a hurricane type downpour

just wanted to voice my opinion..
first of all it does look good, and second you dont really ever need it for rain true...but when it snows around here it is hella useful..snow doesn't just "flow off" the window like the rain does, it's like a blanket....probably why i won't do it to mine, urs is cool tho

hahaha, I hate that connector, call me a retard, but I for the life of me could not figure out how that connector un-clipped. Since I am never using the wiper motor again, I cut the wire.

yeah that little plug is a bitch...you just have to press down on the tab and strong arm it...rather strong finger it
you can use a flat head scre driver to try to get some separation as well.
