Default Rear disk pad replacement

Anything special to know about changing rear disk brake pads on a GSR? I've changed the front before, never the rear. NO specials tools needed, right?
thx

You use a c-clamp on the front, but you have to turn the rear piston, if I remember right.

Yep, I've used C clamp to get enough clearance to stuff a new pad into the front. Does turning the rear piston require a special tool? thanks

Sorry to be so dumb here, I don't have a manual. Do you use the screwdriver to push the piston back in, or do you actually turn some a large screw.

thanks. (on my head)

You dont need a special tool. I used a large screw driver.
Dont forget to get the high temp brake anti-sqeak grease.

I've changed the rears on my 91 ls integ and all I did to compress the piston was to use a pair if needle nose pliars, see the piston has a recessed cross on it and you just put the tips of the pliars in the slots and rotate clockwise

I just did mine last week. really pretty simple.. just look closely at it the stuff is pretty straight forward. Dont forget to put some disk brake quiet on the back of your pads so they dont squeek..

Do you need to do anything special with the parking brake?

Make sure it is off when you are taking the brakes apart, but I put it back on when dropping the car, so it won't roll back.
