I know this topic has been in discussion but i am wondering if there are any CA drivers out there? If so, what level tint do you have on your hatchback integras. how well can u see through ur tint? (what's the legal limit?) just wondering cause i need to get my black integra tinted soon. I did do a search so please don't flame.

 

I live in CA... I think legal is something like 35% VLT for the rear windows and supposedly none on the fronts... don't quote me though... I've had some friends who went w/ 20% VLT (darker)...

 

In CA you can paint al the windows black if you want (As long as you have 2 outside mirrors)

The drivers side and Pass side is ILLEGAL..

There are new "Clear UV" tints that are allowed on the fronts (except windshield) but they only block UV rays, and offer no "tinting".

 

The fronts can be tinted at 85%(allows 85% of light to enter) the back can be tinted to whatever level you prefer...granted you retain the 2 side mirrors.

Yes...it is, you don't even notice it, other than the reduced amount of UV light that enters your interior.

Austin - who just spent 2 days at a tint shop, and heard all of the ricer questions about colored tint...I want yellow, no green, maybe blue, what about red

 

35% all around any good cause i was thinking maybe 35% or maybe 20% on the hatch and side windows....no idea though....i drive a black car so ugh so hot in this summer heat...90 degree plus weather **** man....thanx for the help

 

I like titanium/mirror tint w/ a layer of 35% over it.. but in So Cal and w/ mods.. I'm sure to get pulled over so I didn't bother w/ tint.. one time a cop told me my sunroof was tinted.. I was like wtf? no $hit.. its tinted from factory.. cops

 

i'm going for a kind of a sleeper look i'm not into the all out body kit stuff but i think titanium with tint over it looks pretty nice. do u think the cops will pull me over if i got a 2 inch drop and exhaust (those are probably the only two exterior noticable modifications u'll notice) plus the titanium/35% tint? i dunno i just like the reflector feel so no one can see what i may have (i.e. system)

 

my friends car is totally stock (not even lowered..no exhaust.. even stock rims) and he had titanium tint w/ 35% over it (which is how I saw it/y i think it looks nice)and they pulled him over for the tint... my car has no body kit.. just rims, lowering, exhaust (from the outside) I didn't bother w/ tint on my car. I live in So Cal and cops bother me enough
