Default radiator question

I just change my rad, putting in a double core one... When I change it I notice 2 littles hoses with cap on the bottom tank facing the block... What are those for? The little cap didn't come with the new one so I have put the old one I had with my old rad... But it isin't very tight...

Could I have any issues with those? what are there purpose?

No pressure is built from there? the caps aren't tight... I just don't want to loose coolant from there!

It's just an area for automatic transmission fluid to flow through there. If no automatic, then there's nothing to flow through there. Don't worry about it. You could leave then uncapped if you wanted to.

Yeah, when I first ordered a replacement radiator I just ran a hose from one to the other.

But like Pat said, you can leave it uncapped if you want to, no coolant will leak out from there.
