Default Quick Question.

i just need a quick question answered.

im saving up money right now to buy full coilovers for my LS. but the thing is is that i dont know how much inches i should drop to get the tires to "tuck". im asking this because i might buy the Edelbrocks IAS inverted coils that drop a max of 2.5 inches. is 2.5 enough to tuck my tires? if it isnt, i might go for the omnipower coils that can go as low as 4 inches.

im running on 2000 LS meshes and tires are 195/55-15
TIA.

i tried searcing already.

i think 2 inch would tuck in the tires, if not then its pretty close to being tucked.

2.5 inches will be more then enough for a tuck. My car is dropped about 2" and the top of the tire is about level with the fender, 1/4 panel. remember the lower you go the more negative camber your gonna have. I'd suggest a camber kit either way.

yeah 2.5 inches is more than enough i have a set of cheap old coilovers that came with my car when i bought it and they weren't proporly damper with the stock shocks so then when i bought my new coilover kit and took off the tires i saw some serious rubbing inside the wheel walls.

You should get a camber kit if you're gonna be that low.

2.0 to 2.5 will be ok, but you need a camber kit bad or you gonna have some serious tire balding on one side of the tire.

never really thought about it but what does a camber kit actually do?

does it fix rubbing against side walls or fix negative camber that wears tires unevenly?
