Default Quick OBD Question. Maybe

I tried a search but didn't find what I was looking for, maybe I did it wrong. Could some one please tell what exactly an OBD1 is? What is the difference between 1 and 2? I have a 96 GSR, what do I have? Sorry if this has already been answered.

OBDI is an acronym for "On Board Diagnostics ver.1"

ver.2 uses 2 O2 sensors to more closely monitor the emmisions.

96 has OBDI....98 &up OBDII (OBD.....)

Can you upgrad to an OBD II with ease, or is it even worth it? Thanks for the quick as hell reply.

Not exactly. 96+ are all OBDII or higher. There were actually two revisions of the OBD ecu in '96. '96 integra ECUs look for two O2 sensors, but they do not throw a CEL if the second one is disconnected.

Just curious, I didn't even know if it would be considered an upgrade or not, I guess not! Thanks for all your help guys!
P.S. I'd hand out beers, but I don't drink.
Ah what the hell!

OBD II is far more stringent in monitoring emission related parameters from various sensors, it appears to give tuners harder time in squeezing more performance out of the engine

OBD II also gives far more codes when the ECU detects out of tolerence parameters, this maybe useful in determining what went wrong.
