I have a 5zigen stainless steel 4-2-1 header, Car is still off insurance and I ripped the header off, what is the best method to clean stainless up? It turned the usual purple and gold color but there is some kind of oxide (splatter on the header), i tried a toothbrush and a wire brush but didnt even faze it at all. any ideas?

thanks for the link, but i doubt that mine would come off with just elbow grease and i am not so sure that i want to be mixing chemicals and metals, any more suggetions
