Default Quick brake question

I just bought the car the other day and I know it was well taken care of. My question is, the car sat for like 4-5 months without ever moving and when I got it running the pads seemed as though they were kinda stuck and tight when the car first started moving.

Ive driven the car around 20-30 miles now and the brakes grab REALLY well but it makes a wierd kind of clacking noise. I checked the pads and they are almost new, no gouges or anything in the rotors either. I was thinking maybe they are hitting the wheel? Any ideas on what to check to see what it could be?

Also the car sat on two flat left tires for awhile, it has a vibration in it that wasnt there before it sat in the driveway for that length of time. Is it possible the tires got flat spots in them causing the vibration? Im going to take the car and have the balancing checked on the wheels and make sure its ok. It doesnt seem like a suspension issue though. You dont feel it until around 55-60mph, I havent been able to take the car faster than like 70 so im not sure if it stays the same/gets worse or goes away.

YOu need to get those wheels balanced, as for the "Clanking sound" Make sure the calipers on tight, and check the caliper brackets.

Got the wheels balanced, it helped alot....still a vibration though....I checked the air and evened all the pressure out and it still has a vibration. The car doesnt pull left or right so Im guessing the alignment is straight.......what else could it be? Maybe a dragging caliper?

I cant figure out the clacky sound when you press the brakes. Its annoying when going slow, you dont really hear it when you are moving pretty fast. Could it be from where the pads sat on the rotors for 5 months and now its moving there is a dip or something there? It sounds like its only the rear. Any suggestions on how to check it?

That can definitely make a sound. Can you still see the mark on the rotors from where the pads were resting? Rotors can rust when they sit for a long time. They can especially do so if you live in an area prone to those effects, such as somewhere with high humidity. What happens is the rotors get build up on them everywhere except where the pad was covering. After the car is driven again, a sound occurs when the pad transistions between the different surfaces of the rotor. It should wear away after some more miles, but you have to be careful with the way you brake, or the rotors could wear unevenly.

However, if the noise you are hearing is mechanical sounding or more of a clanking, you should just get em checked out.

you can still see where the pads were sitting on the rotors. Ive tried driving around and braking to even it out. I cant really tell if its getting better though.

I still cant figure out the small vibration the car has either. It used to be at around 55-60 now its more like 70-80 then mellows out
