Default Question about finding a motor

Do i just start calling salvage yards to find a wrecked RSX or are there certain types of salvage yards I should call? Sorry if this sounds dumb, but i've never so much as seen the inside of a junk yard. Also is there anything i should look for on the engine that would tell me if it were damaged, or in not that great a shape? Is there any code on the engine that would tell me what year the car is? I know there are reputable sites that sell engines, but I know i can save a G or two (which means I can keep my engine as a spare, and don't have to sell it) finding one at a junkyard. basically anyone one of you guys that has gotten a motor from a junkyard or salvage shop give me the rundown on how it works. I know someone here's done it before.

basically importers will sell
you the engine, tranny, ecu, wiring and shift linkeage...
so you are in the market of an rsx engine..
where are you located to be more specific....

For an extra fee the junkyard will pull the motor and tranny for me right?

Not all junkyards pull stuff like that. Some are pull yourself. So yes and no, if they offer it as a service then sure, some junkyards you don't pull at all- they do everything. All depends.
