Question about B18C1.
I'm trying to figure out the year of my motor. At the front of the head the imprints read: P72-2, 93, 90, 7, 3. I didn't think there was any B18C1's in 93. Anyone have any ideas, or another spot I can check for the year? This is a USDM motor btw, it says B18C1 on the block.
That's what I'm saying. On the head is says 93. I know it can't be a 93, but it does say P72. Where would the VIN be on the motor? It is in a Civic so I can't use the ones on the car.

what does the head have the usual gsr intake manifold....that all 94 and up gsr"s have.....also acura did make some of the motors in advance before the car came out and what ever year it was made in was the year on the block.....my friend bought a bran new 2000 gsr with 0 miles on it from acura....but his motor is a 99 and the dealer told him that some of the motors where made a year in advance.....also did u buy the car bran new or used...who knows what someone before u might have down.....
I was kinda thinking that maybe the motor was made a year in advance. I'm not familiar with the differences in the intake manifolds, but the head is a P72. That means it is a B18C head right?
The motor is in a Civic and I was told it was a 94 B18C1. Anyway, I think you are right about it just being made in 93.
