Default Question about B18C1.

I'm trying to figure out the year of my motor. At the front of the head the imprints read: P72-2, 93, 90, 7, 3. I didn't think there was any B18C1's in 93. Anyone have any ideas, or another spot I can check for the year? This is a USDM motor btw, it says B18C1 on the block.

you can check on the gead of the motor just above the the exhaust manifold, it will look something along the lines of 9/4 meaning it was made in 94.

Is there a VIN Number. The 10th digit should tell you.
R 94
S 95
T 96
V 97
W 98

Or check the head, there should be a cirlce w/ a year on it.

That's what I'm saying. On the head is says 93. I know it can't be a 93, but it does say P72. Where would the VIN be on the motor? It is in a Civic so I can't use the ones on the car.

Ya, this is OBD1 so that's not on there. Anyone know another place to look or can explain the 93 P72 head?

I was kinda thinking that maybe the motor was made a year in advance. I'm not familiar with the differences in the intake manifolds, but the head is a P72. That means it is a B18C head right?
The motor is in a Civic and I was told it was a 94 B18C1. Anyway, I think you are right about it just being made in 93.
