B18c1 ca smog referee question
I brought a 95 civic with b18c1 swap. The head is stamped for 93 and the block came with paperwork for 97. Ecu is obd1 gsr. Can this be ca state reffed?

You're block is def cool but im not sure about the head. If they don't inspect the head you should be good but the only way to BAR it is have the motor of the same year or newer. You might need to swap heads to a 97 GSR

cannot be state reffed due to the year of the head.
unless somehow the technician doesn't check all the VINs... but thats highly unlikely.

i have bar'd many cars they dont check the cast year on the head, you dont need any paper work for the motor
and to dankman what you posted makes no sense even if they do check all the vins what does that have to do with the head, heads never came with a vin any year
