PVC

I realize there are slight oil trails in the intake from where the breather hose connects. IS that because of the pvc valve being bad?

its PCV and usually yes take out the pcv valve, with car on plug it up with ur finger then let it go, it should make a snap noise or shake it it should have a rattle.
