Default Pulling an engine?

I need to pull an engine out of a 94 Integra GSR. I have air tools, an engine dolly, and my 15 year old nephew at my disposal. Does anyone have a link to a site which will give me step by step instructions. I believe I need the engine, tranny, shift linkage and ecu. Is there anything else? Thanks.

if you cant find a thread here on hondatech, try calling local shops to see if they have a computer program called AllData. If so you can printout step by step instructions.

drain the oil
drain the coolant
disconnect the throttle cable
disconnect the plugs on your shock towers.
disconnect all the vaccumm lines and fuel lines
disconnect your shift linkage
disconnect your axles
disconnect your mounts
pull it out.

this is a very general guide but its really not that hard to do. Pm me if you have an more questions

1. disconnect and remove battery
2. loosen axle hub nuts
3. drain engine and transmission oil
4. remove tie rod and lower ball joint from the steering knuckle
5. remove axles
6. knock out the shift linkage pin and pull shift linkage off
7. remove the power steering pump from the head
8. drain the coolant
9. remove the radiator and hoses
10. disconnect the throttle cable
11. disconnect the transmission cable
12. remove the intake piping
13. open fuel cap to relieve fuel pressure
14. disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter
15. start unplugging all the sensors trying to remember where they all go
16. loosen but don’t remove all the motor and transmission mount bolts until you’re just about to pull the motor and have the cherry picker attached and ready to pull
17. remove the battery tray
18. remove the transmission mount that is beside the battery tray for clearance
19. bolt one end of the chain to the right rear of the head (there will be a big hole to put a bolt in)
20. bolt the other end of the chain to the front left side of the block (there is a big bolt that goes through the transmission and block that you can take out and use to attach the other side of the chain to)
21. place the cherry picker hook more to the right side of the engine so the right side of the engine will tilt up and the transmission side tilting down.
22. then slowly lift the engine watching for any hoses or sensors you may have forgot
23. if everything is clear continue to lift the engine and moving it towards the front of the car until the engine is clear and able to be moved away from the engine

That should do it.. I wrote this for a friend after i removed mine 3 weeks ago. This is for my 92 gsr.. so yours should be similar.

But its pretty simple.

Just give it a shot.

sounds good, thanks for the help. I should be starting it this weekend, provided it doesn't rain. If I can do it in a weekend, I'd be happy. There is no header, intake or bumper on the car, so I've got some extra room to work. DOHCmonster, you may be hearing from me.
