Default Pulling a ABS Code on a 1998 OBD2???

I can (and do) pull CEL codes by using the paper clip method under the passenger side dash, but accoring to THIS thread on team integra:

the method will also work with ABS codes... Cant seem to get it to work. ABS light just stays solid.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the ABS codes can be checked with a OBD2 ecu using the paperclip method??

Yeah, I didn't know I had an ABS code until I had a CEL. Checked it with the paperclip and found out I had an ABS code: 16

So, yes. You can pull ABS codes using a paperclip. Its done the exact same way as checking a cel. My car is also a 98 OBD2.

back from the dead...
still no luck with the paper clip. The CEL is not on, only the ABS light, paperclip does not seem to work...

I was thinking about buying a ODB2 scanner off ebay - seems to be ~$50.. will they pull ABS codes as well?
