so i have good news and bad news...

good news is obviously, i pulled my codes from my cel.

bad news is....there's 7 of them:

5 - map sensor

13 - atmosphere pressure

45 - running rich/lean

71 - missfire

72 - missfire

73 - missfire

74 - missfire

now, i have some questions:

- I know map stands for manifold absolute pressure, but what does it mean? what can i do to get rid of this problem?

- recently i miss shifted, from 3rd to 2nd. i have this nasty rattling sound in my engine now and i'm like 90% sure its bent valves. is that what explains the atmosphere pressure?

- what do i do to fix my air/fuel mixture?

- how is every one of my cylinders miss fireing and what do i do to get rid of it?

first check if your MAP is hooked up and working.
youre running rich as hell your gas mileage is probably shitty.

do that first and see if the missfires go away, how long has this been happening and whats your car/setup?

okay i'll remind everyone that i'm a noob still and have only been in the car scene for 6 months now...

where is the map?

yeah my gas mileage is shitty as hell...i fill up, drive 100 miles...and lose a quarter of a tank :'(

i know where the map sensor is i'm gonna go outside right now a [freak] around with it so i'll be back in a bit.

thats like 30 mpg you're still getting better mileage than me and my motor is fine. when i ran rich in my DA i was only getting 15 mpg.

i say take it to a mechanic tell him and show him your motor and whats going on.

yeah i was gonna do that but out here they its like they charge to take a look at ur car..its bullshit...

i just checked out my map...its plugged in but idk how to check if its working fine...

and i just checked my trip as well...it says i've driven 130 since i filled up, and lost half a tank already...

 

Update....

i fiddled around with my map sensor and re checked the codes...

now i have only one code, which is number 13, atmosphere pressure

and i'm assuming thats because of my bent valves??
