Problems adjusting headlights
First I read this article on headlight adjustment:

ok i read the headlight article...and I loosened the bolts that it says to loosen in order to adjust vertically and horizonatally. My dad and I BOTH looked at this, we loosened the bolts, but the only thing that actually will move the headlight vertically or horizonatally is your hand. Simply loosing and tightening the bolts in the article DOES NOTHING for me. We have to adjust manually by hand and then tighten down.
Furthermore, the driver side doesnt seem to want to move any more to the left. The driver side assembly is pointed way too far in and is causing all kinds of mess for me at night. I dont really want to take it to a shop cuz I would feel like a dumbass. But right now, we just cant seem to figure it out.

well u need to loosen those bolts and move with you hand, the bolts them selfs don't move the head light. that is for just moving the headlight assembly around.
and for the vertical and horizontal adj, use a philips head screw driver and turn the gear type thing, it's located on the head light assembly, where those yellow circles are in that pic.

i dont understand. you say the bolts themselves dont move the headlight assembly around but then you said that for vertical and horizontal adjustment to use a screwdriver and turn the "gear type thing". That gear type thing is a bolt.

oh i meant the bolts that hold the head light assembly onto the car, u can loosen those and move the whole headlight...
did you face the car to a wall at night and put the headlights on and then adjust?

yes, we put the headlights on a wall. It seems that the right assembly is near perfect.
All adjustments that we have made have been manual though, loosening and tightening the adjustment bolts arent moving it anywhere. What is going on here.
