Default Problem with Integra

After pullin hard (but not past redline) to get on the freeway, my check engine light came on. Cel code 67 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold), what does this mean? I reset ecu and code went away. Am I fine or do I have to bring it into the dealership. I still have my warranty but I don't know if it's still good because I have an exhaust now. Everything else is stock. Thanks.

i am not exactally sure but a guess would be that the O2 sensor is bad, and reading off. I would take it in, and have them take a look, it cant hurt.

get the exhaust OFF and then take it to the dealer haha.. as the exhaust is a part of the emission system... where as the the o2 sensor is as well.. they will defienltey tellu that ur warranty is bad now coz of the exhaust.. get it off and borrow a stock one from one of ur teg hommies and then go to dealer

I still have my stock exhaust. It's just a pain in the butt to take that off and put the old one back on. I'll check to see if the O2 sensor came loose and if the cel comes back on because after I reset the ecu it went away but I haven't driven it again since so if it does come back on then I guess, I'll have to switch back to the stock exhaust. Better than $200, right?

That code isnt a big problem at all. The car wont go into safe mode or anything with that code being thrown.

Just to double check -- you are running a stock cat, right?

You have a comptech exhaust right? You wont need to take that off if you go the dealer -- they maintain stock warranty with Comptech products actually.

I still have the stock cat. I've heard that only some dealer would maintain it's warranty if they installed the Comptech products themselves.

Well, today after work, I took the Integra out for a little test run for the first time since I reset the ecu (all I did was unhook the positive battery and hooked it up again. Is that how you reset it?) The check engine light never came back on. In the Helms manual, it says that it's either a bad cat or exhaust leak. Maybe I need a new gasket.

Comptech is made by Acura?? I don't think that this is true. I know some Honda/Acura dealerships have deals with Comptech, but I highly doubt that Comptech is made by Acura.

actual I'm wrong acura doesn't own comptech but they do own some kind of title rights to comptech. They might own some of comptech but im not sure. as for getting around the exhaust, yeah its suppose to be installed by a acura dealer but you don't need prove. As long as its not rigged and is on properly you'll be fine.
