Default Problem installing front upper Neuspeed 4-point bar on Integra

I removed the front control arm bolts on the driver's side, and the back control arm stud (closest to brake fluid resevoir) is not long enough. When I put the neuspeed bar on, I can't even fit the bolt on it....Do I need to jack up the car and try to push the control arm out more? I don't understand why this is, if the other control arm stud in pushed out enough...

Thanks

if you lift the car it would pull it out more probably.

try pushing it through from below with the car on the ground.

yea, i have the same bar and suggest the same thing... but if ur car is dropped at all... its gonna be hard to reach back there with the car on teh ground.

EDIT: oh and the valve cover tends to get pretty hot, so per silverb18c1's advice, i put the ps hose between teh bars as in the pic below.

yep, just jack it up enough so that you can reach in and push up on the control arm. having someone else thread the nut on while you hold it up is also very helpful.

i was about to buy this bar but a seller on HT stated that I would have to ditch my power steering to install it.. what truth does that hold?

absolutely none.... the only concern would the gettin rid of the power steering hose bracket that is bolted onto the valve cover that kind of gets in teh way. With that removed and the hose positioned as illustrated in my previous reply, there is zero problems with using the neuspeed bar. And might i add that i am damn pleased with its performance. and ken you kno as always... that you can go to my website n check out pics of the install... (link in sig)

I installed it. Driving overall seems more stable and responsive. Looks good and actually makes a difference unlike my old DC Sports bar. Maybe it's because the Neuspeed bar connects to four points and they happen to be the control arms studs.

I was looking at how I installed it, and there is tension on the battery terminal wires as they are tucked under the back drivers side portion of the bar. Hopefully it's no big deal.

tension in the battery terminal on the driver's side??? got a pic of wat ur talkin bout? I"m sure with a little work you can adjust everything so its better. inspect where teh wires are strapped down and see if their is some slack or way to adjust them.

Yes.........there is not much slack when I pull on the wires, pretty tight fit, but I'm ot sure if this will be a issue of concern, what do you think?

well as long as the wires aren't exposed and their aren't any parts that are susceptible to being extended by say the torquing of teh motor or general operation of the car, i don't see their really being a problem... but honestly i'm having a difficult time picturing the problem... i don't have any such problem with my setup and i don't believe satingsr does either... take a pic if you can so i can see what ur talkin about...
