Problem grounding HID's

Problem grounding HID's
One of my boys is having a problem grounding his HID's, his has like a ground plate, not a wire, and he doesn't know where to put the plate to make it stay so the light stays on. Does anyone know what I am talking about?? If so, where should he put the ground plate
